Home of the Food Bowl Solution!

When my daughter picked up the Chia seeds for me she said that I should look on your site for storage ideas.  I haven't been able to find any suggestions yet.  I am not sure if I just didn't look in the right place.  Has there been a discussion on the best way to store Chia seed?

I would love some pointers,

Colleen and I have stored much of our chia seeds into quart-jar containers and have placed the glass containers into long-term storage boxes, with dividers between jars -- as seen any any box of mason jars. You can store them in plastic containers, but some people have experienced the smell of plastic that sometimes permeates any food that is stored long term in plastic container. If you are using it up rapidly, plastic containers should not produce any off smell or taste.  Jim

I was wondering if you can put them in a #10 food storage can with an O2 packet and seal it up?  How long would it store if that option is possible?
