I know that Daniel and his friend ate pulse and drank water for ten days, so they would not have to eat the King's meat or drink wine. The Bible then tells us that they trained for three years. I assume that Daniel ate this way his entire life. So, what exactly is Daniel's Challenge? Do we eat a certain way for 10 days, 3 years, or the rest of our lives?
Personally, I think it should focus more on what to eat instead of what not to eat. Aunt Faye
Yeah I was wondering a little bit too, just because I have not been able to read the books yet (am ordering them soon) and don't really know anything about this process or when the Live Challenge will begin. More info would be great!
Faye, as I understand Daniel's Challenge on the Welcome section page in the Forum it states the following--The dietary philosophy of this site is as follows: consume whole fruits and non-starchy vegetables freely and abundantly; meet most caloric needs that are not met with fruits and vegetables with legumes, starchy vegetables, and grains; limit intake of animal-based foods to no more than ten percent of your caloric intake; and eliminate or minimize the use of salt, sugar, overt fats, and processed and refined foods.
--For all of us who over the years have eaten so very differently this is a challenge and one to study and learn about.--I hope you have as much fun as I have in learning to eat as Daniel did.--Maureen
