Where did you get that great pitcher? Is it plastic or glass?

You could use the same idea with a cup of chilled grain of any kind mixed in with the salad.

Is that food for one person? I could never eat that much food.

Do you use organic products?

I just started trying to follow Daniel's Challenge for weight loss. Drinking so much water is making me run to the bathroom constantly, at LEAST once an hour. Is this something my system will adjust to, so the issue will lessen over time, or is it indicative of some kind of problem?

Eve-- your body will get used to it, I promise! I used to not drink any water, and I needed to up my intake drastically. I eventually got to the point where I could put down a little less than a gallon a day-- and it killed my bladder at first. Your body doesn't know what do with so much of this badly needed nutrient, but then, it says "hey, I think i might use that," and it does. keep the water intake up-- you won't regret it.

Great demo. May I caution you about using spinach all of the time for your green drink. Spinach contains oxalic acid and a build of this in your muscles makes them feel like tingling or going to sleep. I know, this happened to me and it took months for the feeling to stop in my upper legs (in the big muscles) after I stopped blending spinach in my green drink. Rotate your greens so this does not happen.

I am allergic to nuts!!BIG TIME what would I use instead to get the omega fatty acids?

Variety is always a good suggestion for many reasons, especially for the array of nutrients you consume while enjoying variety. Don't force yourself with green drinks or any other food choices. For example, an oxalic acid build up will cause you to naturally turn away from foods that are high in oxalic acid. They can even cause you to feel nauseous. When you experience such symptoms, you shouldn't be the brave soldier that forces down a "healthy" drink that you really don't want to drink. Rather, follow your instinct. In a few days, excess oxaolic acid will leave your system and the food will be enticing to you once again.

Moreover, after you are on this path long enough, you won't even want to blend your food, but will want to eat it whole. There is a certain wholeness that begins by masticating foods thoroughly in the mouth, which causes saliva to release. The saliva contains enzymes that immediately begin to breakdown or digest the food in your mouth, then the food proceeds through the GI tract at a pace that is "best" for human health. Blended drinks digest much more quickly than whole foods. Can you think of anyone that might be bothered by blended drinks? What about people who are insulin resistant and have trouble maintaining steady blood-sugar levels. For these folks, they are always better off eating their food whole, allowing digestion to occur more slowly.
