My mother is preparing to teach a Relief Society lesson on sprouting, and found a website where sprouting seeds and equipment seem less expensive than in health food stores.  Check out http://www.waltonfeed.com/.

Thanks Eve! This is good information you have offered; we love Walton Feed. Unforunately, the terms of use associated with this platform prohibits links-outs by members to other websites. We will be adding sponsor pages in the near future where Walton Feed and others who desire to help sponsor LDS Health Today will be able to post information and links to their website in a manner that allows us to remain compliant. We have to pay a premium for the priveledge of being able to link-out to other sites.

Thanks again,
Jim
In the meantime, if you know of great opportunities for others, please share them and let us know what companies to google. We've used Walton Feed for years and have always been happy with their products and service.

I have questions about sprouting. How do I know when the things I have sprouted are "done"? I have done mung beans for a long time, and know that when the tiny leaves just begin peeking out of the seeds, they are done, and alfalfa is done when the first tiny leaves appear. Wheat sprouts look like tiny spiders when they are done. But what about garbanzo beans, adzuki beans, etc? And when sprouts are referred to in the OFF recipes, when are they ready for use? Didn't I just see a video that implied that things were "sprouted" when they had merely been soaked overnight? I'm confused!
