Thanks for the welcome. I do have the Original Fast Foods book, but mine has a drawing of two little kids holding a wheelbarrow of produce on the cover. Maybe it's an earlier edition? I recently pulled it out again and started trying some of the other recipes. We've been having a green smoothie for breakfast for years, though, ever since my mom gave us the book. We have 3 kids at home and the oldest two (1 and 2 years old) drink their green smoothie from a tupperware cup with a straw in it almost every morning. I'm looking forward to when our 9 month old turns 12 months old and we can give her citrus/berries and start her on green smoothies, too. I saw the line of conversation about feeding babies. We fattened our 9 month old up on avocados when the doctor said that she needed to gain some weight. (We're not able to use breast milk as we grow our family through adoption.) Anyway, you can definitely get enough calories with avocados on the menu. I feel like my kids start out the day right with their green smoothie and then I'm less stressed about the rest of the day.
Thanks again,
Julianne
